Bearamedics is the work of Thomas Moore, EMT-P, a paramedic and field training officer on California's central coast. He precepts paramedic interns and got tired of study material that read like it was written by someone who had never run a call.
Every piece follows the same rule. State the real pathophysiology accurately, cite where it came from, then explain it the way you would to your partner on the drive back to quarters.
If these materials made your shift or your internship easier and you want to help cover the domain, hosting, or a cup of station coffee, you can do that on Venmo. Never expected, always appreciated.

Verse 1
I was born in the back of a rig in the rain
With a radio screaming and a patient in pain
I grew up on monsters and gas station trash
With a lifting technique that'll ruin my back
I've seen the worst that a city can show
From the high-rise lost to the gutters below
And I don't need a bed, I don't need a home
Just a box with some lights where the wild things roam
Chorus
I am feral and free! woo!
Like a stray at a scene with a level three
I'm a trauma junkie baby can't you see
I'm just feral and free! woo!
And I'll ride this unit 'til the wheels fall off
Through the midnight rain and the smoke and cough
No dispatcher's gonna break my knee
I'm living feral and free
Verse 2
I've forgotten what it's like to sleep in a bed
I got siren rhythm stuck in my head
The smell of the diesel, the bleach on my gloves
This is the life that a madman loves
We're the kings of the curb and the queens of the bay
Finding humor in things you shouldn't say
You can keep your desk and your nine to five
I need a code three run to feel alive
Chorus
I am feral and free! woo!
Like a tech on a double in the NYC
I'm a caffeine crashing cardiac spree
I'm just feral and free! woo!
And I'll ride this unit 'til the wheels fall off
Through the vomit, the grit, and the hacking cough
No QI officer's gonna catch me
I'm living feral and free
Bridge
And if I die before I clear
Just leave a cold one and a bitter beer
Scatter my ashes on the station floor
Then tones go off and we're out the door
Chorus
Feral and free! woo!
Yeah we're burning out but we're doing it fast
Feral and free! woo!
Roads clear and back in the chaotic grease
Feral and free
