Bearamedics is the work of Thomas Moore, EMT-P, a paramedic and field training officer on California's central coast. He precepts paramedic interns and got tired of study material that read like it was written by someone who had never run a call.

Every piece follows the same rule. State the real pathophysiology accurately, cite where it came from, then explain it the way you would to your partner on the drive back to quarters.

Off the clock, he trades the chaos of the rig and precepting for the chaos of raising four cubs with his wife, Kailee, an EMT who still works the field.

How this material is made and checked

  • Written by a working medic. Thomas Moore, EMT-P, writes every guide, test, and shift review from the current SLO County EMS Agency protocols and the sources cited inside each one.
  • Dated. Every PDF carries a version date on its title page, and the materials are updated when the protocols change.
  • AI tools, labeled. The study notebooks are built with Google NotebookLM, an AI tool, from the written material, and some Den Sessions episodes are made with it too. They can get things wrong, so check what they tell you against the protocol.
  • Corrections welcome. Found a mistake? Report it, and the fix goes into the next version.
  • Not medical direction. These are training materials. Your local protocols and your medical director always win.
